Yetter-Middlestead

Karen Yetter and Charles G. Middlestead, of Lewistown, were married on April 24, 2010, at the Lewistown Assembly of God Church.

The bride is the daughter of Dorothy Woodling, and the late James W. Woodling, of Lewistown. The groom is the son of Grant and Barbara Middlestead, of West Chester.

Christina Olson, of Reedsville, daughter of the bride, was the matron of honor.

Mark Smith, of Lewistown, godson of the groom, was best man.

The bridesmaids were: Joey Heroux, of Lewistown Michelle Olson, of Reedsville, granddaughter of the bride; and Caitlyn Smith, of Lewistown, goddaughter of the groom.

The flower girl was Megan Olson, of Reedsville, granddaughter of the bride.

Ushers were Barry Hesser, Bill Grove and David Lucci, all from Lewistown.

Pastor Dennis Sproull performed the ceremony that also included: Dee Briner, soloist; Julie Filson, pianist; and Ivy Miller, niece of bride, along with Bre Swartzel, as guest book attendants.

The reception was held at the Green Gables Restaurant in Lewistown.

The bride is a 1973 graduate of Penn Highlands High School, Lewistown Campus. She is employed at Trinity Packaging Inc., and also works as a caregiver to local seniors.

The groom received a doctorate in 1994 from the University of Maryland, College Park. He holds two master's degrees (vocational psychology and a Master of Business Administration in health care administration) and received a bachelor's degree in 1979 from Penn State University. He is a pediatric child psychologist and maintains a private practice in Burnham. He is also the president of GradeClub, LLC in Burnham. He also holds the rank of lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, where he serves as an assistant health services program officer for the northeastern United States.

The couple will spend their honeymoon in Salzburg, Austria.
