Richard R. ‘Rich’ Royer Jr.
For many years Rich pumped septic tanks with his uncle, Russell "Scoot" Brannon, until his uncle's passing in 2000. Brannon and Royer Septic Pumping Service made portable toilet rentals available. Rich worked by himself for some years with help from family and friends. Later, his son Richie helped at least three days a week during the summer and Chris Ganoe handled the portable toilet routes.
He was a member of Maitland Church of the Brethren, a life member of the Owls Club and a social member of Yeagertown Firehouse.
Rich gave to everyone and loved helping anyone who needed by raising money and donating to different charities. He had a heart of gold, always bending over backwards to help.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and planting a garden, vacationing at the beach and raising and mentoring his son.
