Theodore R. ‘Ted’ Cramer
PALMYRA - Theodore R. "Ted" Cramer, 74, formerly of Honey Grove, died at 4:35 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, at the Palmyra Nursing Home.
Born Dec. 7, 1935, in Roseburg, Perry County, he was a son of the late George W. and Mary M. (Hower) Cramer. His wife, Thelma B. (Miller) Cramer, whom he married on Oct. 22, 1960, preceded him in death on March 22, 2004.
Surviving are his children: Darryl L. Cramer and his wife Leilani, of Smyrna, Tenn., Brian K. Cramer and his wife Jane, of Grantville, Deanna D. Crouse and her husband Steven, of Reeds Gap, Tamyra R. Beaston, of Jonestown, Billy D. Cramer and his wife Sherry, of Mount Pleasant Mills, Aaron J. Cramer and his wife Rebecca, of Seven Stars; one sister, Violet Reisinger, of Loysville and he leaves behind 15 grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were 13 siblings.
Mr. Cramer worked as a truck driver for Lewis Lehrman, of Shiremanstown and later worked as security for Excel Homes, of Mifflintown.
Ted was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and when his health permitted, was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, from the Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Donald Walters officiating. Interment will follow in the East Waterford Cemetery, where the Juniata County Veterans Council will accord full military burial honors.
Viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at the funeral home.
