Wrestling coaches show that they care

December 17, 2009
Lewistown Sentinel

To the editor:

I was at the Indian Valley Junior High wrestling match on Friday, Dec.11, waiting for my son to wrestle. During the match one of the wrestlers broke his ankle, or worse.

I would like to thank the coaches and trainers for handling the situation the way they did. I know you are trained to do so, but you did so with true sincerity and compassion and wasted no time.

I especially want to thank Joe Daubert, the varsity coach, who came out and showed how much he really cares about the wrestlers, even if they are not at the varsity level yet.

I think he needs to be told how much we appreciate him holding his hand and talking to him trying to calm him down. I am sure that he will not forget what Joe did for him. We need more coaches like you.
