Olive W. “Willa” Conner

BELLEVILLE - Olive W. "Willa" Conner, 83, of Valley View Haven, Belleville, PA 17004, died at 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009 at Valley View.

Born July 26, 1926 in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Kathryn (Bordell) Westover. Her husband, whom she married Jan. 5, 1946, Donald E. Conner, of Valley View Terrace Apt. A 110, survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Victor K. Conner and wife Marie of Newport, Scott A. Conner and wife Kelly of Allensville; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Also surviving: siblings, Carl Westover and wife Louise of Allensville, Joyce Dunkle and husband Gerald of Allensville, a half-brother, David Westover and wife Pat of Belleville, and a half-sister, Twila Gearhart and husband Ronald of Huntingdon.

She was preceded in death by a brother, George Westover; a half-sister, Trella Thompson; and three half-brothers, Fred, Walter and Dwayne Westover.

She retired in 1989 from Allensville Planning Mill, where she worked as a purchasing agent/sales clerk for 34 years.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Allensville. She was a former member of Allensville Presbyterian Church and the Allensville Fire Company Ladies' Auxiliary.

She enjoyed collecting pitchers.

A funeral service will be held in her honor at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Allensville with Rev. Anna Ritter officiating.

Interment will take place at Allensville Presbyterian Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Baggus Funeral Home, Belleville.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 163, Allensville, PA 17002; Valley View Haven, 4702 East Main St., Belleville, PA; or to Hospice: The Bridge, 400 Highland Ave., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Arrangements are under the care of Baggus Funeral Home, Belleville, PA 17004.
