Cloyd A. Pannebaker
BELLEVILLE - Cloyd A. Pannebaker, 78, of 76 Cayuga Road, Belleville, PA 17004, died 8 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at his home.
Born Nov. 10, 1931, in Mifflintown, he was the son of the late J. Gilson and Nellie (Dumm) Pannebaker. He is survived by his wife, Viola M. "Vi" (Grabbe) Pannebaker, who resides at 76 Cayuga Rd., Belleville and whom he married Sept.13, 1952.
Also surviving: children, Carol A. Fisher and husband John of Dorado, Puerto Rico, Carl D. Pannebaker and wife Kim of Belleville; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Naomi Russis of Palmer, Mass.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Cloyd served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1953. He was active in the Korean War.
He retired in 1993 from Fairmont Foods in Belleville with 18 years of service.
He was a member of Locust Grove Mennonite Church and the Living by Faith Sunday school class. He enjoyed hunting and doing woodworking projects.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at Locust Grove Mennonite Church with Pastor Max Zook officiating.
Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at Locust Grove Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church.
The family will provide the flowers. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to: Hospice: The Bridge, Lewistown Hospital, 400 Highland Ave., Lewistown, PA 17044, or to Locust Grove Mennonite Church, 3358 West Main St., Belleville, PA 17004.
