HOLLIDAYSBURG - George A. Miller, 92 , a resident of the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home and formerly of 28 Rosemont Ave., Lewistown, died at 10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at the home.
Born April 21, 1917, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Adam and Nellie B. (Eyster) Miller. His wife, Helena M. (Coffin) Miller, preceded him in death on Jan. 17, 2001.
Surviving are a daughter, Ruth Erdene Cummings of Bedford and a son, George Waldo Miller of Dennis, Mass.
The last of his immediate family, he was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Charlie and Harry and four sisters, Caroline, Marie, Margaret and Helen
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was employed in the engineering department of Avtex Fibers for 46 years., retiring in 1980.
George was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and Ich Dein Sunday School Class.
Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
