L. Ursula Zook
LEWISTOWN - L. Ursula Zook, 82, a resident of Ohesson Manor Nursing Home, and formerly of 1588 Middle Road, Lewistown, died at 7:55 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at the nursing home.
Born June 20, 1927, in Memel, Lithuania, she was raised by Mr. and Mrs. Bernhard Kettler. Her husband, Urie J. Zook, preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 2006.
Surviving are her sons, Bernie J. Zook and wife Deena, of Lewistown, Douglas J. Zook and wife Susanne, of Dillsburg and Brian D. Zook, of Philadelphia.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Jason Zook, Kristin Zook, Nathan Zook and Matthew Zook and a great-grandson, Lance Zook.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Alfreda Mackin.
She was a homemaker, an Avon representative and a secretary at Lewistown Hospital. She also helped take the U.S. Census on several occasions.
She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, at Belleville Lutheran Cemetery, with the Rev. Gerald A. Krum officiating.
In lieu of flowers, her family request memorial contributions be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 120 N. Main St., Lewistown, PA 17044.
Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
