Mount Union man dies in car accident

HUNTINGDON - A Mount Union man was killed as a result of a car accident on Sunday afternoon, Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon reported Monday.
Police said at about 3 p.m. on Sunday, Calvin Blosser, 27, of Mount Union, was traveling along state Route 22 in Brady Township, Huntingdon County, when he attempted to pass another vehicle while traveling at a high rate of speed. Police said Blosser lost control of his vehicle while trying to pass the other vehicle, which caused his own vehicle to leave the roadway and overturn.
Police said Blosser was ejected from his vehicle during the accident and was transported to JC Blair Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Blosser was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, police said.
