Gunshot victim likely will live, police report

EAST WATERFORD - A Juniata County man who sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound is expected to survive, Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown reported on Sunday evening.
Police said officers were dispatched at around 9 p.m. on Friday to Grayson Lane, just south of Creek Road, in Tuscarora Township, Juniata County, for an alleged shooting incident.
When officers arrived at the scene, they determined that a 66-year-old man suffered a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the chest, according to the report.
Police have not yet released the identity of the 66-year-old man. The victim was transported to Hershey Medical Center via Life Flight, and police said that he is expected to survive his injuries.
