MILROY - A Bellefonte man who overdosed on Tuesday at Tom's Travel Center in Milroy was arrested and placed in Mifflin County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail, Mifflin County Regional Police report.

Police said Paul E. Rider, 28, of Bellefonte, was found in the bathroom of Tom's Travel Center in Milroy, overdosed on heroin. Police said Rider was in possession of a significant amount of heroin as well as drug paraphernalia at the time of the incident. Rider was taken to Lewistown Hospital for treatment and evaluation.

Police said Rider was then arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said Rider was placed in Mifflin County Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 bail.
