LEWISTOWN -A bridal gown showcase, mini-makeovers and an expanded variety of vendors will highlight The Sentinel's second annual Bridal Expo, set to take place from 2 to 5 p.m. on Oct. 11 at the Lewistown Country Club. The event is free and open to the public.
More than 20 area businesses will be on hand to introduce their services and goods to prospective brides, their grooms, families and friends.
Live mini-makeovers demonstrating make-up ideas and tips for that special day will be conducted by representatives of Bon-Ton and Mary Kay Cosmetics. Anyone interested in participating in a mini-makeover is invited to contact The Sentinel by sending an e-mail to expo@lewistownsentinel.com. The randomly-selected participants will be contact by The Sentinel before the event. Some participants may be selected from those registering at the expo on the day of the event.
Those attending the expo will be eligible for goodie bags, free samples and information and door prizes.
While participants may visit each vendor at any time during the expo, there will be a few special events taking place on the dance floor for spectators to watch throughout the afternoon.
The mini-makeovers will take place at 2:30 and 4 p.m., and a bridal gown showcase, hosted by Sentinel Style columnist Jacquie Bennett will begin at 3:15 p.m. Door prizes will be drawn at 4:45 p.m.
The Sentinel is partnering with the Lewistown Country Club to host the event, and Deihl's Flowers Inc. will decorate the venue to create the ambiance that surrounds a bride's special day.
