ALLENSVILLE - Mary A. Peachey, 86, of 307 Front Mountain Rd., Allensville, went to be with the Lord at 5:45 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009.

Born on Aug. 27, 1923 in Belleville she was the daughter of the late Abraham S. and Salome P. (Zook) Yoder. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband Alvin J. Peachey who died on Oct. 2, 2002.

Surviving are: children, Linda Yoder and husband Raymond of Adams, N.Y.; Katie Peight and husband David of Belleville; Leon A. Peachey and wife Elsie of Reedsville; Vera Yoder and husband Martin of Huntingdon; Anna Mary Zook and husband Alvin of Virgina Beach, Va.; Lovina Swarey and husband Samuel of Allensville; David J. Peachey and wife Ruth of Reedsville; Steve A. Peachey and wife Minnie of Reedsville; and Saloma Byler and husband John of Allensville.

Also surviving, 48 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Stephen Yoder, Kore E. Yoder, Fronie Yoder, Noah Yoder and Benjamin Yoder.

She was preceded by five brothers, two sisters, six grandchildren and one great-grandson.

She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the wife of a senior pastor and active in the church. She did piecing and quilting for charity. She was a member of the Pleasant View Amish Mennonite Church, Green Lane, Belleville.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Pleasant View Amish Mennonite Church with the bishop David J. Peachey and ministers Jesse Lee Spicher and E. David Byler officiating.

The viewing will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. Interment will be at Locust Grove Cemetery
