FLINTSTONE, Ga. - Richard Scott Kennedy, 78, of Flintstone, Georgia died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, after a long battle with cancer.

Richard was the son of the late Jesse and Dorothy Kennedy, of Allensville.

He is survived by, daughters, Rebecca K. Ruckno (John) of Dallas, Pa. and Jan Kennedy of Buffalo, N.Y. and son Scott Kennedy (Pam) of Flintstone, Georgia, grandchildren, Megan Treharne, of Charlottesville, Va. and Aidan, Isabel, and Ethan Kennedy, of Flintstone, Ga., sister Sara Sieber, of Dallas, Pa and brother, Dave Kennedy (Jean) of Atlanta, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by sisters Miriam Denton and Kathleen Updegrove.

He was a veteran of the US Air Force and a member of the Masons.

Richard had a lifelong career as a manager in the food service industry and recently retired as a much beloved school bus driver in Brookfield, Conn.

Memorial Services to be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15 at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Allensville.
