Stanley A. ‘Butch’ Leitzel
LEBANON - Stanley A. "Butch" Leitzel, 63, 106 N. 4th St., Lebanon, died Saturday July 11, 2009, at his hunting cabin in West Perry Township, Snyder County. He was the husband of Diana J. Mitterling Leitzel.
He was born in Richfield on May 29, 1946, son of the late Roy and Elizabeth Kratzer Leitzel.
He was a self employed custom carpenter, owning Stanley's Workshop. He was a member of the River of Life Church of God, Lebanon where he had been a former member of the Elder's Board. He enjoyed the out of doors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed smoking meats and cheeses.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters: Stephanie Hernandez, of Myerstown, Cindy, wife of Ronald Weaver, of Lebanon; Lisa, wife of Tony Skinner, of Hartly Del.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Eunice Leister, of McAlisterville; Jane, wife of Del Varner, of McAlisterville; Eleanor, wife of Robert Wockley, of Mt. Pleasant Mills, Juanita, wife of Dane Hess, Freeburg, Nancy, wife of Jeff Wagner, of Lykens; brother, Warren, husband of Nancy Leitzel, of Richfield and their families. He was preceded in death by brother, Alfred Leitzel.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2009, in the River of Life Church of God, 825 N. 7th St., Lebanon 17046, where a viewing will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday. Interment will be in Schaefferstown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his church.
