McALISTERVILLE - Russ J. Nipple, 40, of McAlisterville, died at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Walker Township, Juniata County.
Born August 7, 1968, in Derry Township, Mifflin County, he is the son of Reno J. and Gail B. (Benner) Nipple of Port Royal. His fiance, Jennifer 'Jen' Nester, also survives.
In addition to his parents and fiance, he is survived by four children, Lindsey I. Nipple, Garrett K. Nipple, both of Thompsontown, Cody J. Nipple, Eric S. Nipple, one step-son, Joshua Winter, all at home, one brother, Keith Nipple and his wife Gwen, of Thompsontown, one sister, Jackie French and her husband Jason, of McAlisterville, his paternal grandmother, Beulah Nipple, of Lewistown, four nephews and one niece.
Mr. Nipple was a member of the East Salem United Methodist Church, and a 1986 graduate of East Juniata High School, Cocolamus.
He was currently employed at R & F Pallets, Oakland Mills.
Russ was a NASCAR fan who enjoyed fishing, barbecuing for cookouts, gardening, and coaching youth soccer, however, his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his children.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p. m. Sunday, July 5, 2009, from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall Street, McAlisterville, with his uncle, Del Benner officiating. Interment will follow in the Goodwill Cemetery, Bunkertown.
Viewing will be held Saturday, July 4, 2009, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the family present from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be no viewing prior to the service on Sunday.
