Mae V. Lawver

MIFFLINTOWN - Miss Mae V. Lawver, 82, of RR1, Mifflintown. , entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown. She was formerly of RR2, Millerstown.

Born May 11, 1927, in Greenwood Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Ross Wilson and Ruth (Piefer) Lawver.

Miss Lawver had worked for the former Nipple Convalescent Home in Liverpool and also had been employed by the former shirt factories in Richfield and Liverpool.

She attended the Richfield Evangelical Methodist Church, Richfield.

Mae enjoyed doing latch hooking and also attending the Richfield Senior Citizens.

She was the last of her immediate family being preceded by two sisters, Beulah Mae Arbogast and Dora Edna Lawver.

Surviving are several generations of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends for the viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2009, in The George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mt. Pleasant Mills.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2009, from the funeral home with Pastor Aaron M. McCarty, officiating.

Burial will be made in St. Peters U.C.C. Cemetery, Millerstown.
