Motters celebrate 50th anniversary

Truman and Betty Motter, of Hartleton, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married June 6, 1959, at God's Missionary Church in Millmont. They were the first couple to be married in the new church.

They celebrated their anniversary with a dinner party and vow renewal hosted by their two daughters.

They are the parents of Beth Walter and husband Brett, of McClure, and Crystal Stahl and husband Ron, of Mifflinburg.

They have seven grandchildren, Nathan Walter, Andrew and Debra Arnold, Beau Walter, Justin, Rodney and Garett Stahl, and one great-grandson, Caden Stahl.

Truman is a retired minister from God's Missionary Church.

Betty is a housewife and mother.

They are members of God's Missionary Church, Penns Creek.

They attribute the success of their marriage to honesty and compassion.
