Joseph R. and Sharon Valent Stallone, Lewistown, recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.
They were married on March 5, 1969, at Sacred Heart Church.
They celebrated their anniversary at a seafood dinner in Middleburg with their daughter, Sheila Specht and husband, Eric.

They have seven grandchlidren.
Joseph is employed in small arms repair at the Army National Guard in State College. He served in Vietnam in the U.S. Army.
She is a homemaker.
They are members of Sacred Heart Church.
They attribute the success of their marriage to not going to bed angry and kissing each other goodnight, as well as kissing and hugging each other when leaving or coming home.
