Mary Mae Wagner

HARRISBURG - Mary Mae Wagner, 84, of Kindred Place, Harrisburg, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at her home.

She is the widow of the late Charles D. Wagner, whom she married to for 50 years.

Surviving are: children, C. Michael Wagner, and wife, Judy, of Harrisburg, and Elizabeth W. Morris, and husband, Jim, of Hagerstown, Md.; sister, June Searer, of York; four grandchildren, Christine Guyer, and husband, Bill, of Pottstown, Craig Morris, and wife, Holly, of Mercersburg, David Morris and Brian Morris, both of Hagerstown, Md.; and two great-grandchildren, Kane and Collin Guyer, both of Pottstown.

She was a retired librarian for the Pennsylvania Medical Society.

She was a member of Penbrook United Church of Christ, and she was very active with choir and church crafters.

She loved gardening, sewing and bird watching.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at the Penbrook United Church of Christ, 56 Banks St., Penbrook, with the Rev. Dr. Robert S. Stoudt officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

There will be a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to her church: Penbrook United Church of Christ, Endowment Fund, 56 Banks St., Penbrook, PA 17103.

Hetrick Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut St., Harrisburg, is in charge of arrangements.
