BELLEVILLE - Casey A. Marthouse, 20, of 137 Stonewood Dr., Belleville, died at 11:43 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008.

Born April 18, 1988, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of James J. and Daphne N. (Krepps) Marthouse.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her sister, Lindsey R. Marthouse, of Harrisburg, and maternal grandmother, Helen R. Krepps, of Belleville.

She loved children and had worked at St. John's Christian Day Care before enrolling in school. She was a waitress at the Country Village Restaurant, Allensville.

Casey accepted Christ at age 4. She was led to Christ by her sister Lindsey, who had given her life to God at Bible School the day before. The girls prayed together and then shared with their dad.

Her faith led her to participate in mission trips to Jamaica, where she helped in an orphanage, and to the Gator Wilderness Camp for Boys in Fla. to help with construction. Earlier this year she was part of a group that went to the Dominican Republic to work with a health clinic. They ministered to people in an area devastated by flooding. Casey and two others helped raise money to buy a washing machine for an elderly lady. She participated in street evangelism in Washington D.C.

Casey was a loyal friend. She believed in giving second chances. Her love for God helped her to share His love for others. Her favorite verse was Jer. 29:11.

Casey was a 2006 graduate of Belleville Mennonite School.

She was a participant in the Locust Grove Mennonite Youth Group.

She had currently been in LPN training in Lewistown.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008 at Locust Grove Mennonite Church, 3358 W. Main St., Belleville, with Pastor Max Zook officiating. Interment will be at St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery, Belleville.

Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Locust Grove Mennonite Church.
