Alma R. Brubaker

McALISTERVILLE - Alma R. Brubaker, 84, of RR 1, McAlisterville, died at 12:46 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at Lewistown Hospital.

Born Nov. 26, 1923, in Walker Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of Ira and Lucy (Brubaker) Graybill. Her husband of nearly 64 years, Paul S. Brubaker, whom she married on Dec. 10, 1944, survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Dorothy Yoder and her husband, John, of Mill Creek, Dwain Brubaker and his wife, Peggy, of Mifflintown, Kathy Brown and her husband, Dave, of Greencastle, Ray Brubaker and his wife, Phyllis, of McAlisterville, Marvin Brubaker and his wife, Jan, of Harrisburg; one brother, Chester Graybill and his wife, Ruth, of Soudertown; two sisters, Ethel Brubaker and her husband, Darwin, of Mifflintown, and Ester Peachy and her husband, Leonard, of Belleville; and she leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

One son, Richard Brubaker, one sister, Anna Saner, and one brother, Wilbur Graybill, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Brubaker was a member of the Lost Creek Mennonite Church, Oakland Mills, and a 1941 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown.

Alma was a homemaker, who enjoyed sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at the Lost Creek Mennonite Church, Oakland Mills, with Pastor Roy Brubaker officiating. Interment will follow in Lost Creek Mennonite Cemetery, Oakland Mills.

Viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Friday, Oct. 31, at the Lost Creek Mennonite Church.
