Erdleys celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Forrest Clay and Helen Joan Erdley recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married on Oct. 12, 1958, by The Rev. Stanley L. Fritz at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, Kenton, Ohio.

A walk-in reception was also held on Oct. 26, 1958, at the Belleville home of the groom's parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. F. Clay Erdley Sr. Helen Joan is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Graham.

They have four children: Susan Thomas and husband, Mark; Col. Michael Erdley and wife, Stephanie; Teresa Lee and husband, Jeff; and Laura Rusk and husband, Steve.

They have eight grandchildren: Rachelle Thomas, Jonathan and Tyler Lee, Matthew, Kristen and David Erdley, and Ashleigh and Emily Rusk.

Forrest and Jo were former owners of Big Valley Feed and Grain in Belleville. After selling the feed mill, Forrest went to work for Noerr's Garage, retiring in 1998. Jo continued to work in the office of the feed mill until retiring in 1994.

Their children and grandchildren held a party in their honor on Oct. 11 at the Reedsville Evangelical Lutheran Church.
