LEWISTOWN - Richard D. McMunn, 82, of 9 Summit Manor, Lewistown, died at 10:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, at Lewistown Hospital.

Born Oct. 7, 1925, in Ardara, he was a son of the late William R. and Sadie (Kline) McMunn. His wife, Elaine (Hanna) McMunn, whom he married Dec. 15, 1951, survives.

Also surviving: children, Keith R. McMunn and his wife, Lora, of Myersville, Md., Karen L. Korona and her husband, Joseph, of Reedsville; and twelve grandchildren, Christopher, Benjamin, Jestine, Craig, Scott, Mark, Theresa and Eric McMunn and Alex, Ryan, Adam and Katelin Korona.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Robert McMunn; and three sisters, Verna McMunn, Dorothy Huey and Rhoda Blake.

He was industrial engineer at Standard Steel for 25 years, retiring in 1986.

He was a member of Lewistown Presbyterian Church, Chicago Masonic Lodge Union Park No. 610, Lewistown B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 663 and Lewistown Country Club.

His memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., with the Rev. Robert Zorn officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.

Family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m., Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home.
