Eleanor M. ‘Fleck’ Reynolds

REEDSVILLE - Eleanor M. "Fleck" Reynolds, 89, of Reedsville, died at 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at the Lewistown Hospital.

Born on Dec. 31, 1918, in Siglerville, Mifflin County, she is the daughter of late Charles C. and Maude C. (Pennepacker) Ehrenfeld. Her husband, Frank L. Reynolds, whom she married on March 18, 1939, preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 1989.

She is survived by one son, Ronald F. Reynolds, of Galion, Ohio; one daughter, Carol Jeanne Hockenbrock and her husband James, of Reedsville; three sisters, H. Jean Stumpff, of Knoxville, Ill., Shirley Teschner, of Chalfont, Joan Pierman, of Lambertsville, N.J.

She also leaves behind four granddaughters: Ellen M. Corbin, of Reedsville, Paula J. Treaster, of Yeagertown, Lisa M. Hall, of Ravenna, Ohio, Kimberly D. Reynolds, of Hilliard, Ohio; five great-granddaughters, Stephanie Corbin, Olivia Corbin, Whitney Corbin, Miranda Treaster, Abbie Treaster, and two great-grandsons, Ryan Hall and Alex Hall.

One brother, J. Clemens Ehrenfeld and one sister, Louise Peters preceded her in death.

Fleck was a 1936 graduate of Milroy High School and she was a member of the Pine Grove United Methodist Church, RR 1, Mifflintown.

In 1981, Eleanor retired with twenty-five years of service from the First National Bank, of Mifflintown as a Teller.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc. 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, with her pastor, the Rev. Joy Hulslander, officiating. Interment will follow in the Lost Creek Mennonite Cemetery, Oakland Mills.

Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Monday.
