Elsie E. “Liz” Dunn

MCALISTERVILLE - Elsie E. "Liz" Dunn, 84, of Southview Apartments, McAlisterville, died Monday, August 4, 2008, at Harrisburg Hospital.

Born September 7, 1923, on the Graham farm in Cocolamus where Meadowlane is now located, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Ella (Ehrenzeller) Graham.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda K. Billings and husband, Ed, of Grand Junction, CO; one son, Thomas E. Dunn and wife, Vickie, of Shippensburg; one sister, Betty S. Gingrich, of Mifflintown; three grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and seven nieces and their families.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Irene E. Konick.

She worked at Piezo Crystal in Carlisle and as a waitress at the Tuscarora Room, Zimmies Diner, Mifflintown.

She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Mifflintown.

Liz was an avid bingo player, enjoyed playing the lottery and loved visiting with family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 9, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, corner of North Third and Orange Streets, Mifflintown with the Rev. Michael Leedom officiating. There will be no viewing.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 501 Howard Ave., Building D-101, Altoona, PA 16601.
