Dr. Earl C. and Katherine (DeVita) Costa, of Lewistown, recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
They were married on May 22,1943, in Philadelphia.
The couple celebrated their special anniversary with a family gathering. They also received a card with anniversary wishes from President George and Laura Bush.

They are the parents of three children, Charlene Costa, of Signal Hill, Calif.; Cheryl Penrose, of Milmont Park; and the late Dr. Ronald Costa. They have eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Earl is a retired dentist and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is an honorary member of the Lewistown Rotary Club, having achieved 50 years of perfect attendance.
Katherine has been a longtime member of the Mifflin County Garden Club.
They are members of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
The Costas attribute the success of their marriage to caring, loving, always being there for each other, doing things together and compromise.
