MIFFLIN — Hilda Mae Evitts, 91, formerly of HC 67, Mifflin (Walnut) and Mountain Green, Franklin County, died at 7:17 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at Ohesson Manor Nursing Home, Lewistown.
Born Oct. 16, 1916, in Doyles Mills, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Sarah (Imes) Shaffer. Her husband, Archie E. Evitts, preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death was a son, Clarence Shaffer, on April 30, 2004; two sisters, Virginia Clark and Fidelia Reed; and a brother, Cloyd Shaffer.
She is survived by one brother, Sam L. Shaffer and his wife, Twyla, of Shippensburg; and one sister, Mary Burdge, of Iowa Park, Texas.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Mifflintown. She attended the former Port Royal Senior Citizens Center.
Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2008, at the Rex Funeral Home, 308 Market St., Port Royal, with Pastor Lonnie L. Wibberding. Interment will follow in Upper Path Valley Cemetery, Spring Run, Franklin County.
There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.
