Isabel I. Knepp

MCVEYTOWN — Isabel I. Knepp, 79, of McVeytown, died at 9:28 p.m. Sunday, April 20, 2008, at Locust Grove Retirement Village in Mifflin.

Born Aug. 27, 1928, in Oliver Township, she was a daughter of the late Vincent E. and Cecelia May (Sellers) Seaholtz. Her husband, Spangler E. Knepp Sr., preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 1982.

Surviving are: nine children, Martha Ross and her husband, Charles, of McVeytown, Carol Snyder and her husband, William R., Bonnie Shawver and her husband, Larry, both of Longfellow, Sandy Smith and her husband, Harry, of Lewistown, Spangler E. Knepp Jr., Joy Kahley, both of McVeytown, Timothy A. Knepp Sr., Mona Knepp, Scott A. Knepp and his wife, Charlotte, all of Lewistown; 11 siblings, William Seaholtz and his wife, Joyce, Hazel Medley, both of Lewistown, John Seaholtz and his wife, Caroline, of Wilmington, Del., Irvin Seaholtz and his wife, Helen, of Allensville, Emmaline Young and her husband, Robert, of McVeytown, Miriam Snyder and her husband, Emory, of Three Springs, Edith Wagner, Marjorie Alexander and her husband, Russell, both of Lewistown, Joyce Weiand, of Thompsontown, Brenda Yocum, Bertha Louder, of Lewistown; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four siblings, Edward, Edwin, Virginia and Frank Seaholtz.

She was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, with the Rev. Robert Davidson officiating. Interment will be in Mattawana Cemetery in McVeytown.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
