September 2, 2010

From staff reports ROARING SPRING — After five of the six groups had completed their rounds of golf at Iron Masters Country Club on Wednesday, host Central had a two-stroke advantage over the Indian Valley Warriors. But after Indian Valley’s No. 6 man Dylan Kepner presented his scorecard that read 88, the Warriors found out that their perfect record would stay intact for at least one more match. “Kepner is our No. 6 guy and we were down by two after the first five scores came in,” Indian Valley coach Kevin O’Donnell said. “He was definitely the key person to our victory today — not to diminish what happened with Jeremy (Koller).” Koller fired a one-over 73 for the best score of the day to pace Indian Valley’s 338. “He was under par on the back nine,” O’Donnell said. “He just played solid golf the whole round on a pretty dry course today.” The rest of the scoring in the winning effort came from Tyler Gentzel (86), Kepner (88) and Matt Knode (91).
