TVL's last gasp?

April 16, 2008 - Jeff Fishbein
Despite the fact that Midd-West left for the SVC and is part of the new Heartland Conference in 2008, a couple other teams have bolted for the Schuylkill, and the Mifflin County schools no longer even pretend to be part of the Tri-Valley League, the organization apparently will soldier on in boys soccer.

Millersburg, Halifax, and Line Mountain play each other in the Schulykill Valley League, with the top team being deemed champ of the TVL East. East Juniata, Juniata and Greenwood are the West; the two divisions will face off in a playoff game at the end of the season.

Ultimately, this means the TVL champ could be a team that doesn't play a single regular-season game in the league. Perhaps it's time to pull the plug.
